A Turkish native, Daghan Erdogdu, was born in Nevsehir, Cappadocia , where he spent his childhood. Upon acceptance to the Middle East Technical University (METU) in the late 1990’s, he moved to Ankara to study Mechanical Engineering. Shortly after arriving at METU, he realized his passion for teaching, sharing and showing Turkish history and values to his fellow friends. While in school he began arranging student tours to his hometown in Cappadocia . His enthusiasm as an amateur guide in his hometown ultimately led him to become a professional.

Daghan has over 7 years of guiding experience and is currently accredited and licensed by the Turkish government. He is fully qualified to guide through all historical, archaeological and biblical sites in Turkey . He has conducted tours to these locations countless times throughout career.
He has guided, lectured and taught extensively for special-interest tour groups, individual private tours and trekking groups. He is also presently holds membership in the Federation of Turkish Tourist Guide Associations (TUREB) and METU Outdoor Sports Club (ODST).
In addition, he is also a freelance web designer and developer. He uses these skills to design, maintain and update websites that are especially created for internet users looking to “discover” Turkey .
